I believe it is going to get even more partisan.

  1. I think that it will be more partisan if McCain wins.  Obama is about unity.

  2. McCain has often worked with those across the aisle. I expect he will continue to do so.

  3. Everyone should watch video of Senator Lieberman's speech tonight - it was clear and brilliant.

  4. Depends.  McCain is the only candidate with a record of working with the opposition party to achieve compromise.

  5. Obama will cross lines. McCain will only please his fat a** party.

  6. Assuming the slim as heck chance that McNasty wins, it will not matter. the house and Senate will be controlled by democrats. They'll keep the republicans on a real short leash so their noses are on the ground.

  7. idk.  But, OBAMA NEEDS TO WIN!

  8. Either pres would have to reach across the aisle, but for differing reasons:

O:  Several programs, such as healthcare, retooling Detroit and national security will require both parties, and he knows it.  The majorities in the house and senate will be there, but best to have some compromise on these issues.   Besides, it's shrewd; it steals R's thunder, or prevents it from building.   It is likely O will have R's in cabinet a/o heads of certain agencies, like Bill C. had in Defense.

Mc:  He would face opposition in both houses, no choice, unless it is fight, fight, fight (and do nothing).  But, Mc winning would likely be a tragedy for the R's.  Look at Peter Beinart's article:  Falling Upward in the latest Time.

  9. All I know is that at Obama's inaugural ball, they are going to play "Big Pimpin' " really f*cking loud!

  10. bring it on

  11. I really hope Obama does blow them off, because he's already too conservative.  We don't need any more of that bullsh!t f'ing up my country!

  12. McCain has proven that he will work with both parties. I have no clue what Obama would do since he hasn't ever done anything.

  13. usually they say they will. but most of the times they don't. we can only hope.

  14. hmmm I think McCain would have too if he got elected because the Democrats are going to have substantial control over the House and Senate....but if Obama gets elected he can pretty much do whatever he wants with impunity for the first 4 years at least so he will pretty much throw the Republicans under the bus

  15. President Obama will reach across party lines and the Republicans will say "F--- You!"  I guarantee it.

  16. I think you are right.

Apparently Lieberman wrote his speech before McCain decided to pick a Fundie for his number 2 spot.

Nothing says "partisan politics" quite like a radical Vice President.

The Republicans need to get everyone on the same page.

They are all going in different directions.

Oh... have they executed Giuliani yet?

  17. obama will hang out with the other anti-american libs and won't sit at the lunch table with the Republicans.

  18. People will feel more hate for Republicans if Obama looses. It will further divide the country either way...
