is it not time that coach and hgv drivers were tested every five years i have been on many coach tours and some of the drivers have been terrible,not observing warning signs,speeding and one driver was more interested in looking for stags in the highlands than concentrating on driving,we also had a one who fell asleep and ran us off the road, these drivers should remember they have peoples lives in there hands and comfort and safety is more important than getting there on time

the problem with coach drivers these days is the fact that they are all ageing. its very hard to find younger coach drivers because of all the new tests and theory's they go through. its madness! so we are stuck with all the old timers.

its only been over the last 15 years or so since coaches have started this accident trend because before that, coach drivers jobs were on the line as coach companies insisted that they we re always on the ball with politeness, dress and also road sense as they were representing the company.

these days its not like that. if a company sacks a driver for not being courteous, the company would be in court for unlawful dismissal!

Yes I fully agree, I often find as well that coach an bus drivers don't think they have to give way to smaller vehicles. Many of them are a risk and put others life's at risk.
