I don't think so. As far as I can tell Thaksin sold Man City because his legal problems were affecting the club. His millions of pounds of assets are frozen and him being in charge of a club right now could only lead to more instability. Maybe if he's cleared and his legal problems end he might try to get another football club but not at the moment.

Also according to Sky New he may be made honorary chairman or City and still have some shares.
