  1. I watched the movie with my mom and she kept mentioning how much the main male character reminded her on me. I also thought it was a highly accurate depiction of someone with Asperger's. I loved the movie!

  2. Yes, this was a good movie.

Different levels of Aspergers Syndrome exist, some so mild  it is not detected right away; others very obvious!

Some just keep going on and on about Dinosaurs or whatever interests them at the moment, most have trouble socially and making and keeping friends is very hard.

  3. I met Jerry Newport who that movie is based on. Jerry and his wife Mary.

He is like able to give you the day of the week you were born on if you give him your date. He is great with numbers.

If you really want to know read the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. That is the best.

The Boy Who Could Fly is good because the boy does not interact and mimics and I know other kids like that.

It is pretty good I think.

The book by Mark Haddon is the best.

  4. I know a few who are like that. I thought it was interesting and could see my son being like that.

  5. The scene at the beginning where he's driving the two men in his taxi, reminded me of two people I know who have Aspergers.  He kept talking to the men and didn't even notice they were not paying any attention.  I think the movie took some of the behaviors to the extreme, but it had to do that to show the audience the contrast between Asperger's behavior and typical behavior.  The reason I say it had to be extreme for people to notice, is because you can be around someone who has it for a long time without really noticing anything other than that they seem a little 'odd'.
