  1. I believe Neidermeyer felt this after winning his fourth, because i could still see him as a good dman when hes 40, but thought about retireing at like 34, although now hes back.  So i guess it can happen, but is very rare because of what the stanley cup means

  2. I started answering this three times and got zapped with lightening three times. Here we go under blue skies.

The "Captain" won three with the Wings before he retired so maybe that is enough for some.  Gordie won 4 while he played for the Wings. So that should be the Target. Red won 4 with the Wings but moved to Toronto to win 4 more before he retired. Frank Mahovlich won four with Toronto and then went to Montreal by way of Detroit where he won two more.

Jean Beliveau won 10 as a player and 7 more as an executive with the Canadiens. But Henri Richard won 11 as a player. I guess when you've won that many life could become empty.

  3. another cup to make it 4! The fight never stops!

  4. no they could always shoot for 4  and have new goals on improving their skills

  5. Not likely.

    Shoot for a 4th.

Every season is new. New goals. New possibilities.

  6. Thats like a band touring....if you played everywhere in the world do you say "Been there done that"? no you keep going because it's what you do...same as any sport....it's part of your life

  7. Some players keep playing just for the love of the game.

  8. For some it's there 4th but that's not the point here.  If I were playing, I'd went to spend the summer with the Cup every year.

  9. hasek retired,chelios should

  10. It gets into your blood system, that feeling, and you crave and work for that feeling again!

Why do you think that guys with CUP experience are so sought after!

  11. I've never won a cup so I can't say I know for sure, but it seems like it's definitely an experience you'd like to have again and again.
