I'm wanting to breast feed then i do have a baby. my husband won't use condoms cause hes allergic to latex. Is there a pill that i can take thats safe for the baby while breast feeding?

  1. yes  i just had my son this is the one they gave since I'm breastfeeding NORA-BE talk to your doc and make sure you can take it it doesnt decrease your milk production or any thing

  2. Most birth control pills are safe to take while you are breast feeding, however most do have a chance of decreasing your milk production. Talk to your doctor about what would be best for you.

  3. no.  There are other kinds of condoms besides latex.

  4. They make latex-free condoms...I know, I'm allergic to latex too.

There certainly are birth control pills you can take when you're nursing.  They're missing one of the hormones that regular birth control pills have, so they're not quite as effective.  I took them after I had all 3 of my children.  However, after I had my second child, I missed one pill when my son was 6 months old.  I had never even had my period yet, and I still got pregnant!  I was traumatized, but of course I can't imagine life without my daughter.
