If you received a financial aid offer letter and accepted some, or all, of the forms of assistance that were offered to you, then that information is on the school's computerized registration system, and it will be available to the registrar's office at the time of your registration.

If you have not received an aid offer letter, or you have not yet notified the school that you accept the aid offered, you need to contact the financial aid department and get that resolved before you go to registration.

When you have been approved for financial aid, you do receive a letter in the mail. But in some cases, the college receives notification as well. So when you go to the financial aid office at your school, you can tell them to apply the money to your bill.
