Well, my friend is interested in veganism and I told her to ask me any question. Well, she asked me this and I don't really know the answer I tried to research it but, I couldn't really find it anywhere. So now I'm interested too. The actual conversation went like this;

[she means like you just stop eating meat and dairy one day:Like to go Cold turkey or tofurkey XD]

Nikie:So when you go vegan how long will it take until all of the meat and dairy stuff is out?

Errilyn: About 24 hours. lol

Nikie: No I mean all of the bad stuff it puts in your body. How long with those things stay there?

Errilyn:I don't really know. I felt better after the first week.

Nikie:What about cravings how long do those last?

Errilyn:I still have those =[ But, I also give into those if you don't give in they will go away.

So we are asking;

Do the cravings go away and how long will it take?

How long until your body is cleaned of the stuff animal products put in it?

Thank you!

  1. Basically, the body's cells replace each other within 7 years.  So in seven years, you should have everything brand new and animal free in your body.  However, the brain stays practically the same so you may still have cravings in the future.

    There is an exception....the intestines.  Since meat rots in your intestines and there are so many pockets to hide in, sometimes a piece of meat will be stuck in there for a period of years.
