  1. No - You need to use a file shredder. This essentially replaces the recycle bin with the equivalent of a paper shredder that wipes any file you delete for good. If you install one, tread with caution: Once you delete something, even by mistake, there's no going back. Simple File Shredder is a good (and free) choice to check out.

If you delete something by mistake you can get file recovery software like Recuva. Recuva (pronounced "recover"), is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses!

  2. oops sorry its not so... the fact is that the files can be re instated on the hard drive.using popular data recovery software's like system mechanic 5.0 (fullversion) ,data recovery and many others interestingly these software's on being installed give an option at recycle bin to totally erase the data or shred the data completely so it can never be retained again ...never ever...

actually what happens is the intelligent windows os stores the completely deleted data into a strange coded new name with a reference old name attached .the files is only removed automatically once u don't have place for this hidden bulk on u r hdd and also as the deleted data piles up the old files are erased

to recover data try sites and softwares

    www.recovermyfiles.com

  3. No it is still on your hard drive it is just flaged by your computer to let it know that it can be written over if need be.

  4. Only way is to take it to a data recovery specialist

  5. Not at all. There are plenty of programs out there that can recover that kind of thing.

When you delete something, all you are doing is deleting the reference to it on the hard drive, not deleting the actual object in question.

Now, if you've defragged the system or done a lot on it since the delete, getting it back may not be possible. It doesn't take much for the computer to write over the file in question, so you will want to get some file recovery software in place as soon as possible.

  6. it depends what computer, see macs you have to delete them from the recycle bin and from something else, while any other computer if you delete from the recycle bin, its gone for good!

  7. Yes, that's been my experience

  8. Nope. It can be recovered.

Look in to data nuker programs like r-wipe and history kill those programs can wipe files away forever.
