After your done with medical school and then gon on to the residency part of your learning do you get paid while in residency and is it as much as the field your goin for would be paid?

  1. No, you aren't paid like a doctor during your residency.  

    Residencies all pay about the same around $43,000/year.  The pay various only a little bit with location and program. The length of residency various greatly by specialty.  In general, the higher paying the specialty the longer the residency.  So, the longer you make less money in residency, the more you're paid after.
