After you have installed vonage so that it works thew all of the homes phone jack can you reverse it (make the phone jacks work of the old landline phone network)? For example when you move out and the people moving in do not want vonage they want an other phone company.

  1. It can be reversed easily.  Sometimes there's nothing to do at all, sometimes you need to reconnect a wire somewhere.  Either way you shouldn't worry about it, because that's why the phone companies charge a crazy amount for "installation".

Just reverse what you did to install it, and if you don't know or you're not the one who did it, don't worry about it. Unplug your modem and leave everything as is.  (I'm a phone technician)

  2. At my residence I have Voip and it does not go through my phone lines at all but at my other house i have the ability to change what the imput to all of my phone jacks are the basic system is that i have an incoming line that is divided to all of the jacks in the house if i was to set up voip there i would just disconnect the incoming line from my normal provider and run a line to my divider/splitter box from my Voip router

but back to your question as i just have to change the imput line so would the people after you and most traditional phone companies would do this anyways

  3. I sure hope you didn't throw them jacks away...there are very expensive to replace. Just tell them new ppl....VoIP is "IN" and old  landlines are passe...

  4. Yes, you can reverse it. When Vonage was wired into your existing phone jacks it was spliced into the main line coming into your home. All you need to do is disconnect the Vonage phone adapter and reconnect the phone companies line. If you know where this is it will take no more than 5 mins.
