After you send your RSVP back and the wedding is over with, what do u suppose to do with the invitation?

I have heard of women spending hundreds of Dollars on invitation alone, just for people to throw them away afterwards! I have heard of people just putting them any where or forgetting all about them.

Is that rude for you to mis place the

invitation?

What are u suppose to do with the invitation after everything is done and over with?

I was watchin a wedding Show and a girl spent 1600.00$ on invitation alone, they were beautiful but is it worth it?

The money you spent on your invitation was it worth it?

  1. Yes, if you are a guest, then the invitation goes into the basket.  If the bride and groom want to spend lots on the invitations, that is their choice.  But, yes, once it's over....the invite goes in the basekt.

  2. I can't imagine spending that much on invitations, but the price has probably gone up since I ordered mine!  In any case, why not put the ones you receive in a scrapbook or a memento box?

  3. If you are close to this person then keep it and put it in your album if not toss it.

  4. You can throw them out, put them in a photo album, make a christmas ornament, candle or shadowbox for the people if you want.

  5. no its not worth it, i spent $550 on 100 invites!!!!!  and then i need 100 more (really i only needed 50 but i got extras lol) and they were definitely not as fancy smancy as my first ones but they just as beautiful and elegant.  and i got them at michaels for like $25.  i wish i had the cheaper ones for all of my invites.  but keep the invite and put it somewhere safe.  you never know somebody might want to see it someday.

  6. I suppose you can put it in your scrap book, or somewhere else where you store memorable tokens.

  7. I have almost all of the invitations from weddings we have been to, and just have them stashed somewhere. It's nice to find them and go through them once in a while, to see the styles, dates of marriage, etc.

We spent close to 800 on invitations - I think it was for 250, full sets, engraved, bilingual. Well worth the money.

  8. It's not your problem that bride spent a ridiculous amount on wedding invitations.  When she ordered them she had to realize that she would be putting them in the mail and then people would eventually throw them in the recycling bin.

You don't have to keep a "keepsake" memorable item from someone else's wedding just because they were over-priced invitations.  I wouldn't feel bad about throwing them away, just like other invites or mail.

  9. My invitations were worth every penny of the $25.00 I spent on them, lol. Okay, with stamps it was more like $40, but still!

Yes I think invitation prices can be crazy! There's great DIY ones for way cheaper.

If it's someone really close to me, I keep the invite with other keepsakes I have. If I'm not close, I usually throw it out as soon as I RSVP'd and wrote down info/directions.
