  1. grandparents or aunts/uncles

  2. After your parents and siblings, it would be YOUR children, which would have the same percentage, 50%, as EACH of your parents or siblings. Then it would be grandparents/grandchildren, and so on.

See the book, Genealogy 101 by Barbara Renick.

    (or similar book)

  3. *****The ideal situation would be a sibling of your father who married a sibling of your mother!  If they had a child, I would think that would be pretty close.

After that the DNA would be all of the above IMHO.

  4. Grandparents

  5. Remember the family tree? That is a good "concept map" of DNA.  First the little twigs and stems, then small branches, then larger branches, until you get to the tree itself -- the oldest ancestor in common you can find. Everything hanging from that tree shares your DNA, with the small twigs and stems nearest your own twig being the closest in DNA to you.
