Hi All, I have a 2005 Pontiac G6 with the Monsoon Sound System..recently the front drivers speaker was blown and ive been trying to replace it, and i was going to buy a pair of Alpine SPS-17C2 6 3/4 speakers but after reading some stuff online about OHMS and stuff it seems i might need to buy a different speakers b/c my speakers are 2 OHMS ( I think) and the Alpines are 4 OHMS, and apparently the stock amp in my car is 2 OHMS, i really have no idea what im talking about.......does anyone know if this is right or not..or what i should do..i dont really wanna go to the dealership b/c they are way expensive...any suggestions on what speakers to get or what to do?? thanks

  1. well here is my advice, i tried to install door speakers my self to save money but my doors ended up rattling because i am not an expert on removing the door pannels so for saving 35$ installation fee i had to listen for the annoying rattling noise every time my subs hit. i will recommend taking your car into a speciallized car audio shop and pay the extra installaion fee.

some shops run a special $1 installaion fee for speakers purchased in their store so i will reseach that if i were you.

as an alternative for your peakers you might wanna try
