Question:

Aftercare for newly stretched lobes?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

The outside of my piercing or w/e is a bit crusty,

should I continue cleaning the piercing (just been stretched so that may have something to do with it)

if so,

how many times a day,

and any tips?

At the moment I'm just using the aftercare stuff I was given for my angel bites.

I was thinking of applying some to a tissue or cotton bud and applying it to the affected area etc.

or what else should i do =/

Thanks heaps (:

  1. Hey you just answered my Q about stretched lobes, so now I'll return the favour =D

Okay, well it's only been 2-3 days so if I were you I'd continue to clean it a little bit longer. About a week or so...lobe piercings seem to heal better with the litha treatment (leave it the h**l alone) in general. But yeah, I think you should be cleaning it for a little longer.

The aftercare stuff should be good for your ear too, seeing how you use it on the angel bites...I would also recommend hot compresses. Take a cotton ball/tissue and soak it in hot water. Then hold this to your ear for about five minutes- hot compresses promote blood flow and this is good for any piercing, it should help it heal up a bit faster too if you do this every day.

The crust is normal though, just lymph and thats nothing to worry about at all.

So yeah, my advice is to clean x2 a day, and do the hot compresses x2 a day- oh and the massages i mentioned to you for helping stretch ears- they are also good for healing cause they promote blood flow, so you might wanna consider them too!

    Good luck =)

& thanks for your answer =)
