Okay i have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon.

I wanted to install my new deck by myself. Ive read a million things of how to do it and i felt way confident! But maybe i didnt read enough..because everything powers on but there is zero sound. I checked the wires and everything and they are all connected just fine. I'm just curious because the stock system was infinity, so it came with a stock sub and amp..could that be the problem? I thought they would just work together. My amp is a part of my sub so i dont have to worry about that being hooked up wrong. If anyone has any suggestions as to what i should do..shoot them over to me because i'm starting to get frustrated. :) Thanks guys!!

(Dont make fun if its something stupid..i'm a girl)

  1. it may be the rca wires or the ground

  2. Well first of all the simplest fix could be the mute button on the deck. I know you probably tried that but it messed with me a few times. Otherwise it really can't be the sub and amp because that should be just a simply RCA cable and that wouldn't affect the deck. A good thing to do is to unhook your battery and let the car sit for a few minute so everything in the computer system resets itself and it might cause something to trip back into working order and they might work. Otherwise i can't think of anything else that would be going wrong unless some wires got crossed.

    hope this helps.

No one will make fun because your a girl, girls do car audio installs all the time!

  3. if you have a factory infinity system in a hyundai tiburon, did you hookup the amp turn on to the factory harness?  Tiburon with infinity can be fairly easily as it is the same as doing a standard radio but the exception is that if you bought the wire harness that plugs into factory radio harness there should have been a blue wire or a wire that said amp turn on on it.  that would have to go to turn on wire coming from the aftermarket radio's harness you installed.  basically it is needed to let the amp turn on and off just like what would be done to an aftermarket amp. that's what it sounds like you issue is based on what you wrote.

  4. Hey lady I think its your RCA wire cause if everything hook up right it should work so check that out and the blue & white wire is a remote wire you should connect that wire from deck to amp it helps you control the amp from the deck.
