Aftermath of Iran in 12th Al-Rashid Int’l Volleyball Championship
Iran captures the top spot in 12th Al-Rashid International Volleyball Champions by defeating Lebanon in the final showdown. Iran posted 3-0 (25-20, 25 -11, and 25 -23) victory over Lebanese squad. It’s incredible show continued for 1:12 hours.
The 12th Al-Rashid Volleyball Championship was kicked off on October 8 and staged amazing battles up till13th October, 2010. Six teams from Pakistan, Iran, India, Tunisia, Lebanon and UAE participated in the fun-packed five-day event.
The matches were held at the Al-Shabab Sports Hall in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The final rankings of teams at the end of championship are as follows:

1-IRAN 2-India 3-Tunisia 4-Lebanon 5-Pakistan 6-United Arab Emirates
Iran enjoyed a great form throughout the event and crushed everything, which tried to hinder their performances. The team was challenged by astute contenders like Tunisia, Pakistan and India but nothing could stop them from climbing the stairs of fame.
Iranians exhibited a flawless performance and finished the championship as an absolute winner. Iran paved its way to the final combat and saw Lebanon on the other side of the court. Iranian fans had high hopes that the team will prove its endeavour and clinch
victory against Lebanon. Iran performed in an exquisite way and seized the title trophy.
First Set
The match was opened with strong serves from both sides. The finalists were pumped up to play in the most influential match of the championship. The energy level of both contenders was high. Iranian squad gradually picked up pace and demonstrated their hitting
power. The killing aces and electrifying spikes cruised past Lebanese players’ legs and they couldn’t do anything about it. Iranian hitters were quick to find the rare gaps and stormed Lebanese court. Lebanon tried to put up with the heavy strike but couldn’t
stand the power of Iranian attack. Iran continued with success and added consecutive points in their score. Finally they gave the finishing touch to first set and secured set-victory at 25-20.
Second Set
After dropping the first set, Lebanon’s team became sort of irresistible and slowed down. On the side of the net, Iran showed great attacking and blocking. They restricted their opponent to a low score and rapidly raised their score. Iran’s accurate hitting
and strong serving didn’t allow Lebanon to live their dream of success in final. As the game progressed, Lebanon faced more adversity in attack from opposite side. With a display of incredible play, Iran deserved to win the second set. Lebanon was down bad-reception
in second set, which brought enough damage to them. Iran sparked on the scene and grabbed success in second set with a lead of 14 points. Iran posted 25-11 victory in second set.
Third Set
Iran continued with success in the following set and kept on hitting the ball in right direction. They brought more ferocity in attack as the victory was knocking at their door. It was “do or die” battle for Lebanon and they struggled hard in the third set.
Somehow, Iran diminished their chances and crushed their dream by capturing third set after a close fight (25-23).

he was not match with other players because he is from other club."  ESAM ABOJAODAH, assistant coach of Lebanon said in the press conference.
Iran head coach said, "I wanted to test each one of my players in this tournament, all of them did good job, Lebanon team showed what he had in his bag. They played good with us."
