I am not asking about adult human who can deny or believe in God?

I am asking about atheists who claim that all humans are born denying God existence not born as believers?

Again I am asking how did you reach to that conclusion, If the child can't accept , how can he deny?

Some of you here, define atheism as a lack of belief in God, is there a difference between that definition and denying God existence?

  1. You nor anyone else is born with the knowledge of any Gods or demons.

All religions are taught and learned.

  2. Babby no pray.

  3. atheism = lack of belief in god(s), not a person that denys god(s)...

can you really say babies are born with a belief in god(s)?

  4. I don't think they are born /denying/ God. That would require them to know what he is. I think they are born without any sort of belief about anything, religion, social norms, or language skills. All of it is taught to them, for better or for worse. That totally depends.

And yes, not believing in something is different than denying it. To deny is to acknowledge that it exists, which we do not believe. Therefore, we cannot by definition deny the presence of God.

  5. We're all born with the position known as implicit atheism, which refers specifically to someone who does not believe in any gods because they have not considered the question of gods' existence.  Implicit atheism is a kind of 'weak atheism' (or agnostic atheism) because implicit atheists do not hold a positive belief that no gods exist.

  6. Explain then, why do all children follow their parent's belief. If they knew of God since they were babies, then they should know which one is the right God. But with so many Gods in the world, which is the right one?

Lack of belief in God means we do not believe in Him, but don't necessarily try to tell other people that He doesn't exist.

  7. Your religious mind control affliction has made you paranoid about who believes what at what age. You should seek help, try reading, "The God Delusion" by Dawkins, that should be fruitful for your mindset.

  8. Children are born truly as a blank slate.  They don't believe in the Theory of Gravity; they don't believe that fruits and vegetables are good for you; they don't believe in anything.  To a newborn child, he/she is the center of the universe.  He cries when he is uncomfortable; he cares not that his mother hasn't slept in days.  As children grow and begin to become aware of their surroundings do they begin to understand concepts.  Children are taught about God just as they are taught that they have grandparents and that 2+2=4.  No child can be born a believer of anything.

Atheists say that all humans are born as atheists because they are born with no belief system, i.e. they don't believe in God.  I would argue that instead of calling them atheists, which also requires understanding, I say all humans are born indifferent to religious ideas.

  9. We are all born with the ability to know God. It is only when we are older that we have the knowledge of God.An atheist is one who has no knowledge of God. Atheism is the denial of God.

  10. Now I am not an atheist. But there has been some study into the human brain that has discovered an area of receptors which I believe they call the god receptor or something like that.  No every ones is switched on. Not everyone is born with a sense/need of religion.

    goes back to evolution.

  11. Atheism is the not believing in god. Infants are born with no knowledge of this world and until they are exposed to religion i guess you can call them atheists seeing as they have no idea of what the word god even means.

  12. when child bores he hasn't got consciousness yet, so he can't have a belief in anything including God, so he automatically is a nonbeliever - a person who doesn't believes in god's, so he's an  Atheist, till the moment when parents teach him something else.

  13. Yeah, the baby is not denying anything.. It lacks knowledge and belief in a God.

Atheism is not defined as denying God.  It is lack of belief in gods.

  14. Atheism is simply the lack of belief in god

A new born lacks belief in god.   He/She is instilled with those beliefs while they're being raised -> all newborns are atheist.

It's simple logic, I don't know why you can't understand it.

  15. People are born curious, without prejudice towards or against religion. The way in which they're brought up will greatly affect their thought process and the way in which they process evidence given to them regarding the origin of man etc.

For example, a child shown a tree in a Catholic household would believe that God made the tree and everything that helps that tree to exist, because of the things that the child had been tought from a young age.

A child brought up in an Atheist household would most likely believe that the tree was made from soil and roots and nutrients and mulch and all that wonderful scientific goodness.

  16. Firstly a child when it is born their brain is underdeveloped and still needs to be exposed to the educational knowledge that is usually passed on by their parents especially the mother who nurtures the baby through its infancy.

Apparently you are not a parent nor have you ever had the pleasure of bringing children into this world at all. So start educating yourself instead of just relying on the bible for support in life. It is a very big world out there and it can be lonely painful sinful disgusting within the confines of society as a whole.

On the other side of the coin it can be a fantastic wonderful world we life in Master Jack. So no more violation notices thanking you from a very old grandfather.

  17. How could a baby be born knowing anything?

The baby wouldn't know if god existed or what her will would be. She (god) would be taught to the child later and the child would then choose to worship Her Holiness or not, or to pray to Her or not.

  18. Infants do not have the cognitive capacity to believe in God.  They are taught to believe or they are not.  Which ever the case, if they grow up never believing in God, or ceasing to believe in God, they are atheists.  I don't get why this is so complicated.
