Against who are US troops fighting in iraq?

Question

I know there was 9-11, then usa invaded iraq and captured saddam. I know who is the enemy, I'm wondering what is the official enemy, iraqis or terrorists living iraq? to me "war on iraq" means war on iraqi people. I keep reading especially on youtube what americans are saying, how they wish to blow up the whole iraq, iraqi scumbags, all kinds of disrespect towards them. I know youtube is filled with hate. if troops are fighting against terrorists, then why many oppose the war? I dont mean why peace hippies oppose it, in general its viewed as a very negative thing, I know many civilians and children were killed. I dont think there was anyone opposing russians invading n**i germany. I have never read anyone opposing that usa helps philippines against terrorism. I also keep hearing "they attacked us first". do they mean the terrorist or iraqis?

Bush didn't go into war to capture saddam.. well yeah they did, but it was all for oil and money..

bush is the real terrorists..

the only terrorists are the groups that were in iraq, killing random people and capturing the innocent.

and by the way, 911 was planned if you didnt already know..

and yeah.. thats all i have to say.

the troops hate being there, they are dying, leaving families in pain

all because of BUSH.

the enemy are supposedly muslim extremists (the suicide bombers who worship the god Allah and find him so mighty that they feel they need to kill or convert those who do not worship him as well) but i think we shouldnt even be there. after we got sadam and didnt find any 'weapons of mass destruction', we should have left immedietly, but Bush, being the ****@$$ that he is, kept them their while our economy continues to fall.

p.s.- if you couldnt tell, i oppose the war, like most of america does now.

The invasion of Iraq had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks. Osama Bin Laden was responsible for that attack and he was based in Northern Pakistan/Afghanistan areas. George Bush used American sentiment after 9/11 to invade a country that had nothing to do 9/11. Americans were duped into a war so George Bush and his oil industry mates could get rich.

rightly or wrongly you americans voted bush in,because you lack an understanding of warfare(you are after all only 300 years old) none of you can see past the word OIL and that prevents the whining answerers of this question (all americans by the look of it) of seeing the real reasons we are still involved in the daily slaughter that passes for war in that area,i would suggest that that you look into the ideals that terrorist organizations suscribe to ,we did as we have been involved with it for years and its nothing new to the british ,if youtube is your only souce of infomation then you really need to get out more,by attacking your president you show a remarkable lack of politics when it comes to voting ,this is not called the war on terror for nothing and i would challenge you to give me your souces that say many U.S.troops are opposed to the war,of the ones ive served alongside of none of them were that way inclined,you do not speak for all,only yourself and those that have answered this question in a negative manner
