Aston Villa forward http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gabriel-Agbonlahor-c14288 is back in contention following a knee injury which kept him out of the side for the opening weeks of the domestic campaign.

Despite Villa’s dismal start to the campaign, Agbonlahor believes the squad has quality and depth. However, the striker admits that he will be facing a tough battle to re-establish himself in the starting 11.
The player received the knee injury during Villa’s pre-season tour of the US, which kept him out on the sidelines for about a month. The player missed all four of Villa’s games, where the club only managed to win one.
Villa have lost two games in the league and managed to earn a point in the third game which took place against Newcastle United. The club finally managed to show some quality and spirit as they held Newcastle at the Sports Direct Arena.
Agbonlahor talked to the press about his first team chances, but is glad that there is competition for starting places. The player believes the competition is healthy for the squad and will reduce complacency at the club.
The striker has operated on the wings for Villa on more than one occasion, where his electrifying pace is fully utilized. However, Agbonlahor is now targeting a more central role and wishes to play up front.

Villa take on Swansea City at Villa Park this weekend, and face a tough task as they continue the search for their first win in the league. Paul Lambert will be hoping to finally secure his first three points as Villa manager, but will know that Swansea
will make it difficult for him.
