Age, dating, and the law

ok, so i honestly don't consider this "rape" in any form, but my boyfriend and i are both 17, but he turns 18 eight months before i do. would it be illegal for us to keep dating? or are they changing the law? (because i also heard that) .are there any exceptions because we were dating before he was 18?... its only a few months and were both going to be seniors...

Find out about Age of Consent laws in your state. In TX you would both be of the age of consent, and covered by the exclusion from prosecution if you are less than three years apart.

In some states 16 is the legal age to be able to choose to have s*x or not but i could not really tell you i always dated older guys before i was 18 years old and now im 20 and my boyfriend of almost 3 years is 27 i dont see the big deal its not like your 14 and hes 25 but that choice is up to you dont want you 2 to get into trouble, you could always call and ask the court or a lawyer they will be able to tell you and you dont have to give your name or anything good luck
