I'm 27 and will be cruising alone. I'd like to cruise on a ship wih more people my age. I'm assuming either Royal Caribbean or Carnival will be best. What cruiseline do you think is best for someone like me? Thanks.

  1. I think that Carnival will suit a single cruiser of your age perfectly, as they are regarded by everyone, and advertised as the fun / party line, and you are more likely to hook up with other singles or people of your age group on a Carnival cruise.

I don't think it makes much difference what line you cruise with, most cruisers are very friendly and are all looking to enjoy their cruise and meet new people.

We are still in touch with people who we met on our first cruise 20 years ago.

Pick a cruise and have fun.

  2. Don't rule out NCL, with the Freestyle cruising there is more options and so it grabs a lot of younger folk.

Work with a travel agent, a lot of the cruiselines including Royal Carbbean, Carnival, and NCL do single suppliment specials.  Rather then having to pay double the cost you may be able to get away with 150% or even 125% of the fare.

  3. You are aware that all cabins on all cruise lines are sold double occupancy.  That mean you will need a room mate or you will have to pay the single supplement which is essentially a double cruise fare.

As far as the right cruise line for your age , Carnival or Royal Caribbean would be your best bet to have a passengers your age on the ship.  And you need to think about a cruise to the Caribbean rather than Alaska, the Mediterranean, or South America.  Most young people cruise to the Caribbean and older people go on Med cruises, especially those that are more than 7 days.

  4. I would think Carnival.
