  1. In the lottery the state gets your money. In the casino, the casino owners get your money. The state makes the rules so they will likely make rules to their advantage.

  2. alcohol is the main reason.  21 to drink in casinos.

but at 18 you can buy lottery tiks, play bingo, and kill in the military!  yaa!

  3. In America, the age limit will vary from state to state due to them all having different laws.

here in england however, there are no states and it's governed by 1 set of laws. the reason (or what i think is the reason) you only have to 16+ to play lottery and 18+ to go in casino's is because in a casino you can destroy your finanial life with one hand (card games) doing one stupid bet so you need to be an adult. You can't ruin yourself over the lottery, so you don't need to be as mature to play, so it's 16+.

  4. Casinos are over 21 because they serve alcohol.

At some casinos where they do not serve alcohol it is only 18 to gamble.

With lottery there is no alcohol involved so that is why it is 16-18 age max with that.

The booze makes for a higher age limit.

  5. In the states you have to be 18 for the lottery  (21 in some states) and 21 for the casinos.  I figured the age difference was because the casinos serve booze and alcohol is usually free if you are gambling in the casinos (this way you're only carded going into the casino).

  6. yeah but you can go crazy at the casino, and lose everything you own very quickly, cant see some1 buying 1000s of lottery tickets.
