Okay so my pro at m,y thing says I have to go in under 14 even though im not even 13 so i should be goig in under 12. In the US he says its different but I dont think so. So is it from the day of the tournament you go by age or the year?

  1. If you are 12 you can play in anything higher then 12's but once you turn 13 you have to play in 14's and up and so on. That works for the US and anywhere else in the world. I am positive because I have duel citizenship with US and Norway and I have played tournaments in US and Europe. You go by age. Good luck!

  2. If you're 12, you can play in either the 14's or the 12's (or even the 16's or 18's for that matter), but your coach probably suggested you play the 14's because he must think you're advanced enough to play the older kids, or maybe you're more physically developed for your age than the average 12-year-old.  Why don't you ask or coach why he suggested that?
