What age do you think your teen would be old enough to live on their own? Im 18 but in a year I want to get an apartment close to college so it is easier to get there and my mom feels im too young. What age would be appropriate to move out?

  1. I was ready and left at 18. I expect the same from my children.

  2. I would say when you are complete with your first year 19.  It is a lil different for girls.  Its hard to let your lil girl live on her own.  You don't want anything to happen to her.

  3. It's all about if you're able to maintain on your own. You have to make enough to pay bills, food, clothes etc. There's no certain age but I think maybe between 18-24 for most young ladies. The younger ones sometimes always go back home when thing get hard.

  4. When you both feel ready (meaning your mom and you). When you choose to move out you should be fine with it and you mom should feel that you are mentally mature enough. So, there really isn't an approximate age, it is when you reach the level of mental maturity you need to handle all the new responsibilities you'll have.
