Ageing is a learned process or a compulsory thing ?

you really feel old or others make you feel it, Is it a learned behavior to a big extent at least?

  1. Experience makes you feel older simply because you can look back and see what you have learned over the years. The older you are the more you have to look back at. The whole feeling of being able to look back at several decades of experience is very different from looking back at one decade or two. That's a feeling of being old.

    To look around you and see the toddlers that you used to baby sit have children of their own makes you feel old, so does seeing old class mates with gray hair or boldness, and wrinkles. It's part of the experience called life. =)

    Physically the body changes and you feel it when you do things or try to do them, it's not the same as when you were young. You feel how the age of your body slows you down and you find that you prefer things that you didn't prefer when you were young. That way you feel old.

    Then there are those that listen to people say; "You shouldn't be doing this or that at your age", and they start to act old even though they don't feel old. There are those that let the number of years they have lived dictate what they can and can not do. That's learned behavior.
