Agent Jeff Berry feels Mark Buehrle is open to any MLB team – MLB News
Star pitcher Mark Buehrle is wide open to any Major League Baseball team after he has opted for free agency last month. His availability to any potential team in the Major League was revealed by his long time agent Jeff Berry on Friday.
Berry’s remarks on Wednesday were also clearly suggested as he will be open for any offers. He said, “Mark is not going to eliminate any team from free-agent consideration, but having pitched 12 years in the American League, the National League certainly
will have some appeal to him. There is no DH. It’s obviously less of a hitter’s league. And Mark has had great success in his career against the National League.”
Mark Buehrle, who has played his entire career with the Chicago White Sox franchise, is now getting a little anxious after he became a free agent. Though, he did not mention anything officially yet, but his agent’s tone is very clear for understanding his
client’s future commitments in the Major League. Many are saying as his free agency is just a matter of time and he will not be going anywhere except to play again for the White Sox next season.
Buehrle is one of the very few players in Major League Baseball, who has earned so much appreciation for his tremendous baseball career. So far, Buehrle has played 11 consecutive seasons with the White Sox since coming into the Chicago franchise in 2000.
His brilliant career includes pitching in more than 200 innings, 30 starts and 10 victories over eleven years. Buehrle’s terrific past record and stats shows an enormous improvement in his game in all those years. Some baseball experts have also called Buehrle’s
brilliant performance “best” in the recent MLB history.
White Sox management is still keeping their silence and stating nothing in the media regarding signing Buehrle again but according to some media reports, Buehrle and his free agent Jeff Berry are also ready to take note of any offers from the White Sox.
However, it will be interesting to see where Mark Buehrle will be going for the next MLB season but this is pretty sure as several teams are getting warmed-up to offer him a potential contract.
