Agent Mino Raiola rebukes rumours of becoming Inter Milan player Maicon’s agent
There is one football agent that stands out from the lot and is perhaps the most widely known name when talked about football transfers and agents. His name is Mino Raiola.
Usually agents don’t get that kind of glamour as they are people providing with false information and twisted tales for their benefits. However, that does include advantages for their customers.
Anyhow, over the summers, Raiola kept football spectators busy as he made uncertain statements about Zlatan Ibrahimovic making a move out of Barcelona. At present, he is under the spotlight once again as rumours circulated that he might be taking up the
role of Maicon’s agent.
In his most recent statements, Raiola has confirmed that he is not representing Inter Milan’s star right back Maicon. He clarified that the word around the block is not true as he has not agreed to or signed anything with Maicon.
The star right back for Inter Milan, Maicon has fast developed in to a super star in the footballing world and has been in high demand by his former boss Jose Mourinho who is now days coaching at Real Madrid.
If Raiola becomes the agent of Maicon, one thing is for sure and that is that the world class defender will be guaranteed a good contract with a big club. This is one of the reasons why Raiola is so popular, even though he emits a deluded aura but the man
is pretty good at his job.
Over the last two summers, the agent has managed to present his customers with fascinating deals. He mostly operates in Europe and has helped Mario Balotelli sign with Manchester City from Inter Milan for 30 million pounds. Raiola then signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic
from Inter Milan to Barcelona for 46 million pounds who then moved from Barcelona to AC Milan (which is ironically the arch-rivals of Inter) for 24 million pounds.
Just recently, while talking to the media, Raiola declared, “It is only the usual journalistic stories. There is no truth to it.”
Earlier in the summers, Maicon was expected to join his former coach Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu but was unable to as the Inter Milan board failed to agree to sign the deal. From what proceeded it became apparent that the lag was not only from San Siro but
the Real Madrid board was also failing to agree on term of the deals.
At the moment the 29-year-old Maicon is represented by Antonio Caliendo and there seems to be no intentions of removing from his job.
