Agent believes Hamsik is in a prison at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 and reiterates his stance on Balotelli-Lavezzi talk
The agent of Napoli midfielder, Marek Hamsik, has given another controversial statement by saying that “Napoli is a prison for his client but a golden one.”
Hamsik was subject of huge interest from Italian Champions, A.C Milan, and 2009/10 treble winners, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan. However, the Partenopei President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, warded off the interest by putting a 100-million-Euros price
tag on the Slovakian star. The former Brescia star also admitted that he wants to leave the club and move to a new challenge with another Italian team.
Agent, Mino Raiola, insisted that the players should be given more freedom to choose whether they want to stay at a club or not. He quoted the example of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 days, when the Catalan giants did not
let him leave the club after the suitors could not meet their valuation.
While talking to the reporters, Raiola said, “I don’t know if this will be Hamsik’s last year at Napoli, but it is certainly a prison for him, albeit a golden one. I do not like players being held in a club against their will.
I’m not just talking about Hamsik, but also Zlatan Ibrahimovic when he was at Barcelona.”
Raiola is not sure how long Hamsik will stay at Stadio San Paolo and insisted that the next summer will be crucial in his career.
Raiola, who is also the agent of Manchester City and Italian striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073. The agent has reiterated his stance on his words but
added that he did not want to say that the striker has demanded a move back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926.
“A Lavezzi-Balotelli exchange? Lavezzi could certainly give City something more in the short-term, while Mario is a younger and stronger player. Balotelli never said he wanted to leave Manchester."
Balotelli has been confined to a bench role at City and has usually played as an understudy to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero and Edin Dzeko.
