The Danish International put pen to paper on a new four-year deal with the Merseyside outfit, tying him up to the club until 2016.
The defender recently got the initials YNWA tattooed on his knuckles, which is short for Liverpool’s traditional slogan of ‘You Will Never Walk Alone’.
During the summer, Agger appeared in multiple rumours associating his possible transfer to Manchester City.
However, the boss at Anfield, Brendan Rodgers, reportedly spurned a 20 million pounds overture from the Eastlanders, as he views him as an important part of his future plans.

Nonetheless, Agger put all the rumours and surmises related to him to bed, after signing a new deal with the Reds.
He said that he was enjoying his stay at Merseyside, and the tattoo on his knuckles was an indication of the pride that he felt on being a part of Liverpool.
“I am proud to be here and I think my knuckles show that,” he told the reporters.
“I’d thought about it for a long time. As I said, I feel a part of this club - and I feel a part of this city. I have been here so long now so it was an easy decision.”
Liverpool, who finished eighth last term, are experiencing a dismal run of form. In the 7 league matches that they have played so far, the men in red having only pocketed a single win and currently rest in the fourteenth place.
Despite all the negatives, Agger was confident his side will be able to stave off the dismal spell, and will be able to meet their targets for this campaign.
“In terms of points, it hasn’t been that good (so far this season) but I think we’ve played really well,” he added.
“We’ve made a few mistakes, but in general we’ve played good football and now we just need the results.”
