The Liverpool defender has expressed is happiness at the club and has claimed that he has no plans to leave the team at the end of the season. The player admitted that the team will take time to reach the level it deserves and
there will be improved performances next season.
The Danish international has been widely linked with a move to Barcelona CF at the end of the season. The player has been impressive in the current campaign and there have been reports that he will be moving to the Spanish giants
in a multi-million dollar move.
Agger claimed that he is happy and that he will serve the remaining three years of his contract. He admitted that players always face rumours such as these and it is normal for them to be linked with many clubs.
“I'm happy here. I still have three years left on my contract and I intend to fulfil them. There are always rumours. Who's creating them? I don't know. It's not a bad thing to be linked with big clubs, but you have to take 70 per
cent off whatever you hear and then there's the reality,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Danish international claimed that Liverpool has shown a lot of potential in this campaign and there has been a lot of improvement in the team. He is hopeful that the players will play better in the next campaign and he sees
the club in the top four at the end of the next season.
“I think we have played some really good football this season, but we haven't been consistent enough. We have to admit that. Seventh in the league is far from where we want to be. We need to change something,” he concluded.
