The six-year-old gelding, Aggie Engineer, and the six-year-old Victor’s Cry are set to skip the 23rd July, $400,000 Eddie Read Stakes at Del Mar, to participate in other stakes' races in the Del Mar meet.
Trained by Patrick Gallagher for owners, Roberta Williford and Ward Williford, Aggie Engineer is a multiple graded stakes winner.

It was an allowance race under jockey Alex Solis at a distance of 1 1/16 miles over synthetic surface. The pair covered the distance in 1 minute and 44.35 seconds
Grade 2 San Marcos came after the allowance as the son of E Dubai finished sixth at Santa Anita on turf, at a distance of 1 ¼ miles.

This time on a synthetic surface over a distance of 1 1/16 mile, Aggie Engineer flattened his competition and covered the distance in 1 minute and 42.18 seconds.
Aggie Engineer had his large share of allowance races with a single graded stakes race, and there was a lot of skepticism over his inclusion in the two upcoming graded stakes races.
However, the gelding responded in champion style as he won both of them on the trot.
The Grade 3 Native Diver Handicap at Hollywood park on 4 December, 2010, over 1 1/8 miles produced a new winner in the shape of Aggie Engineer with his jockey, Joseph Talamo. The pair concluded the journey in 1 minute and 51.04 seconds.
Next up was the Grade 2 San Pasqual Handicap, and the result was same as the previous one. He nailed the distance of 1 1/16 mile in 1 minute and 40.94 seconds.
Aggie Engineer overlooks Eddie Read Stakes to compete in the Wickerr Handicap on 27 August at Del Mar.
Victor’s Cry is another six-year-old multiple graded stakes winning horse, who is going to avoid the Eddie Read Stakes to probably start in the Grade 2 Del Mar Mile Handicap.
Victor’s Cry's first major success at the graded level came in the Grade 1 Shoemaker Mile at Hollywood Park on 31 May, 2010. With a distance of a mile under jockey C Nakatani, the pair completed the distance in 1 minute 32.88 seconds.
After two losses at the graded level, Victor’s Cry who is trained by Eoin Harty for owner Equilete Stable, the son of Street Cry got an opportunity in the Grade 1 Citation Handicap which he fully availed as he ripped his competition apart to turn some heads
over his performance.
Under V Espinoza, Victor’s Cry defeated his rivals who challenged him to the wire, Proudinsky and Meteore, and covered the 1 1/16 mile distance in 1 minute 39.86 seconds at Hollywood Park.
