Aggression is the key behind my success, claims http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Kohli-c2737 – Cricket News Update
Virat Kohli, the young Indian batsman, is not ready to compromise on his instincts, citing aggression as the key behind his success at the ultimate level of the game.
The Delhi-born cricketer was appointed the vice-captain of the team earlier this year and is tipped to lead the Men in Blue in future.
The 23-year-old burst into the global arena in 2008 and since then he has been a permanent member of the Indian team in limited-overs cricket. The dashing right-handed batsman made his way to Test cricket last year and is without doubt one of the most
talented young batsmen in the country.
Till date, Kohli has played eight Tests, 85 One Day Internationals and nine T20s for his country and has already scored more than four thousand runs in international cricket with the help of 12 hundreds and 24 half-centuries.
However, the young cricketer is often criticized for being over-aggressive and has been found involved in on-field verbal spats on several instances.
Kohli expressed that this is the way he plays his game and controlled aggression has been crucial in his rise.
“I have always played cricket like this and will continue to do that. I just need to take care of that fine line and should not cross that, otherwise being aggressive is the way I play my cricket,” said Kohli.
While talking about the leadership issue, the top-order batsman said that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 has been doing a great job for the nation since 2007 and the criticism on him is uncalled for.
The batsman added, “He has been one of the best captain for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750. He has achieved almost all the things and his record as a captain is incomparable. I seriously do not understand why people are questioning him as a captain
because according to me he hasn’t done much wrong since the time he took over as the captain of India.”
The Indian players are currently resting at home and will begin the new season next month with a limited-overs series in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
