Question:

Aggressive Inline Grinding?

Ok so I just started back up doing aggressive inline after like 7 years without.

And I never learned how to grind.

I really want to learn how to do the frontside grind, cause its the easiest and most basic.

I know how to do the fronside, but im having trouble getting up the courage to jump on the rail, because i feel like im just gonna slip and fall when i jump on it.

I cant learn on a curb, because there is no curbs that are grindindable.

So anyway, does anyone have any tips to get my courage to just jump onto the rail and grind.

Cause im really scared that i will slip right as i jump on it.

Also its a round rail,if that matters, and what is the proper teqhnique to jumping on the rail, like which direction to skate towards the rail?

  1. I am not a aggresive inliner but I skateboarder.  If it is a hand rail you are talking about, it would be best to try it with knee pads, elbow pads, and a helmet on at first so you can learn it without the risk of injuring your self badly at first.  If you still can't get over the fear, you can buy a grind rail.  They are real low to the ground, so you should be afraid of working on grinds with them.  http://www.skateproducts.net/round_rail....
