  1. Here's a few tips:

    1. If your classroom has a podium, and your teacher allows it, make your speech behind the podium. You can set your paper down and you'll feel a little more secure.

    2. Memorize your presentation as best as you can. By knowing your speech by heart, you won't stumble on your words and can focus more on keeping calm and staying still.

    3. If this is an option, have a colorful poster to set up as a visual. Students typically focus on a brightly-colored poster than on the person giving the presentation. You'll be less nervous because they won't be staring at you the entire time.

    4. Kind of a weird tip, but if you happen to wear glasses and you're nearsighted, take your glasses off. I know it sounds silly, but this is a trick I use. I find it much easier to give a speech to a group of blurry floating heads than students that are clear as day. :)

One thing to remember: EVERYBODY gets nervous. Your classmates won't poke fun at you because, chances are, they'll get up and do the same thing. They're rooting for you, because they're in the same boat.

    Good luck tomorrow!!

  2. take a breath , find something in the room to look at at all time. and image your in the almost comfortable place you no and you only taking to that item...

  3. imagine everyone in their underwear :]

just be yourself and think no one is in this planet but just you

  4. i recommend you to don't look people's faces and instead look always to the background or some object or furniture, so you don't get nervous looking people's reaction

  5. i get like that all the time-

after 4 years of high school i decided that trying not to think about it is the best choice.

at least it is in the beginning of the day

just don't worry abt it -- i know its easy for me to say, but ive been thru it

public speaking is the number 1 fear of people in America, so your not alone

oh, and i have also been so nervous that i was shaking and my voice started to crack, but no one cares.. im sure they aren't even listening, they are either nervous abt their presentation or waiting for the class to be over

    Hope this helps. GL!!

  6. Definitely practice in front of a mirror several times tonight until you have your presentation memorized.  If you have a friend or family member you can practice in front of, do that too.

Tomorrow, maybe just pick one person to look at in the audience that you feel comfortable with, or just look at the teacher while presenting.  The more times you do this, the better it will be.  Some people have to have heart surgery tomorrow, go to court, go to jail, or become paralyzed.  Some people will die tomorrow.  All of them would prefer to be doing what you are going to do.  Good luck!  You can do it!
