Agi Hariawan Suyitno advances into Men’s Singles second round at Djarum Sirnas Flypower Bali Open
Indonesia’s spirited player Agi Hariawan Suyitno showed a wonderful performance on court and advanced into Men’s Singles second round after showing exit to his lower ranked team-mate Galih Pangestu in first round of the Djarum Sirnas Flypower Bali Open 2012
in Indonesia, on Monday, November 5.
The seventh seeded Hariawan, who has been showing a steady performance at domestic level, put up an amazing show of attacking and positive badminton and taught a severe lesson to his challenger in just 12 minutes.
Hariawan played with incredible speed and kept the pace of rallies high which helped him to end up the contest in straight games with a stunning margin on the score board.
The un-seeded Pangestu, on the other hand, could not play his normal game as he committed many mistakes throughout the battle and crashed out without showing his lofty skills in front of his home fans.
Hariawan played with outstanding control from opening points and maintained his upper hand without facing any considerable problem from his opponent.
The phenomenal variations in Hariawan’s shots assisted him to continue his superiority against his challenger and he set up a reasonable lead until the one-minute break.
After the interval, the higher ranked Hariawan remained confident in the arena as he played with impressive speed and clinched the opening game with a convincing difference of 21-16.
In the following game, Hariawan played with comfortable speed without leaving any room for Pangestu and took an early lead.
In the meanwhile, Pangestu was lacking the aggression in his approach and he remained struggling to cope up with the impressive speed of his higher ranked opponent.
However, Hariawan was impressively fast on court and he remained successful in setting up a superb gap on the score board until the one-minute interval.
After the break, the seventh seeded Hariawan stayed consistent in his positive play and without showing any mercy to his challenger. He remained successful in wrapping up the set with an incredible 21-8 score on the board.
Hariawan easily won this Men’s Singles first round contest in just 12 minutes with a stunning difference of 21-16 and 21-8.
