Juventus fans have put the Italian international for sale on an online website and a bidding war has begun with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paolo-De-Ceglie-c29083 also involved in the deal.
Amauri is one of the most expensive players in the Juve squad with a weekly wage of 75,000 Euros. The Turin giants are ready to part ways with the Brazilian-born Italian international to cut down their expenses.
Angry Juventus fans have put the expensive striker on sale at eBay.
eBay.it user, lugio1981, has posted the advertisement of Amauri’s sale on his website account. The post has taken swipe at another Juve player, as it offers free-shipping and the winning bidder to get defender, Paolo De Ceglie,
for free. The bid has reached 10 million Euros at the moment and the auction runs for another 6 days.
The Turin giants are keen to sell the player for a reasonable price, but they have failed to find a suitable offer. The 31-year-old joined Juve from Palermo for a reported transfer fee of 22.8 million Euros in 2008. Amauri impressed
greatly in his debut season with the club, and amassed 14 goals in the 2008/09 season. However, the player’s form deteriorated the following season where he only scored 6 goals from 30 appearances.
After finding first-opportunities hard to come by at Juve, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Amauri-c5381 was loaned out to Parma in the January transfer window of 2010/11 season. The striker had an impressive campaign with the Crusaders, scoring seven goals in 11 games.
The Turin giants listed the striker for sale in the summer transfer window, but they did not receive any suitable offer. However, few clubs are interested in signing the out-of-favour striker in the ongoing, January transfer window.
The striker has been linked with a move to Fiorentina and Tottenham Hotspur, but no offers have been received as yet.
Amauri, himself, is keen to find a new club in order to resurrect his playing career. The former Chievo star has not made a single appearance so far this season.
