I agree to a certain extent.  A-Rod is the most talented player I know that simply cannot hit in pressured situations.  He's seriously won of the least clutch players I've seen.  If he delivered once in a while, the Yankees' chances of a championship would definitely improve.

On the other hand, one man does not make a team.  Their offense, considering the big names, has not been impressive, and this is an older team that is having to deal with injuries.  

So A-Rod isn't really helping them get to the playoffs, but he's not the only one hindering them.

Agreed.

Yes, he's gonna hit a ton of homers and drive in a ton of runs, but he only does it when they don't matter.

He's one of the worst clutch hitters in baseball, and until he improves on that, the Yankees won't go anywhere.

as a yankee fan i am sad to say agree. he is batting about 200 in post-season and is batting about 120 with runners in scoring position in the post-season as well. for 30 million a year? horrible and pathetic.

well, I totally think that A rod is helping the team, not making the yankees lose and make it in to the world series. The best slugger in yankees is in fact a rod, so I'm sorry ,but I dont agree. The problem of yankees not making in the playoff is that joe girrardi is coaching well as joe torre

Disagree.

As long as the Yankees get no solid pitching from the pen and continue to pay old and washed up players big bucks, they will not win.  A-Rod is not the reason - if they lost him, they'd be a worse team.

disagree one hundred percent. That statement to my, sounds stupid. A-rod is one of the only reasons they are even doing as good as they are. That should be a no-brainer.

I disagree. If they don't win a World Series it won't be because of Rodriquez. I think having decent pitching would be a nice start if they want to win another championship.
