Question:

Agree or Disagree John Duddy Exposed?

This weekend was a complete disapointment! Klitschko jabbed away his status as the best heavyweight(at least in some people's eyes) in the division, even though he deserves the right. But my question was the undercard fight with John

"Irish" Duddy. He was exposed by another B class fighter. I never even heard of this fighter, but Duddy looked bad! He blew his title challenge to Pavlik(Which Duddy would have gotten destroyed!) I must and will ask this question to get an agreement or disagreement. Has Duddy has been exposed to the world on a undercard to a much hyped main event?

  1. Don't get me wrong, I feel for Duddy, I been cut before, and it's frustrating as h**l.  It makes it look like the other guy is winning, even when your beating the day lights out of him.  I don't think it's as bad as a loss would have been, but lets be realistic, it don't help Duddy's cause.  Holyfield looked pretty bad against Bobby Czyz, and a little better in his next fight.  I'm a fan of Duddy, so I'm grasping at straws here, and as ugly as it was, it was a win.

Duddy was never hidden to most of us, we knew his limits, even if most of his fans didn't, so in that respect he wasn't exposed because he was never covered up to begin with.  Actually it increases the likely hood of him getting a title shot against someone.  On the surface it appears Duddy is an easy mark, so it makes it easier to get a title holder in the ring.

I got to disagree, Irish are famous for their disagreements and Duddy is still in the hunt.

  2. pavlik will end duddy's career

  4. You are right. Even someone like Felix Trinidad would beat him.

  5. Oh Yeah, that definately didn't help his case for a big payday against Pavlik. I'll give him credit that gash over his eye was LARGE and he gutted it out, but he can't possibly be viewed as the same challenge.  Pavlik should be looking up for challengers not down.  I don't care how many butts Duddy could put in MSG, it would be an embarrassment to match these two up.

  6. Oh yeah very much so. He is very overrated and shouldn't even be a contender. only because he has a huge irish-newyork following would he ever fight pavlik. Actually the fight is not going to happen now from what i hear. Duddy is c+ level at best. his record is bloated, and when people boo you in your home town, that is never a good sign

  7. YES! I knew he wouldn't be able to go 12 rounds with Pavlik, but now it is almost a crime for anybody to sanction that fight. I've been reading that if Duddy's cuts heal before June 7th (my 21st b-day) then the fight WILL happen, if not Pavlik will fight Lorenzo Giovanni. I also read that the Duddy fight will happen this year. The only question is when. To answer your question again...Yes he was exposed...BADLY!!!
