I agree.  Kids these days don't need to be taught about such nonsense.  They should be taught self respect, confidence, and how live in todays world.  But I guess living in today's world includes how to recognize scams so we could touch on global warming as an example of that.

So I think it is wrong to allow vulnerable children to come into contact with people who are incapable of accepting unpleasant realities even when they are true.

Global warming is not a fable; it is fact. Children should be taught fact without some knuckle-dragging Luddite of a conservative constantly raging about how it's impossible to make automobiles or if God had wanted us to fly he'd have given us wings... blah, blah.

Why are so many conservatives so brainwashed that they cannot consider even an inch of change or progress?

Absolutely. That is why I send my children to private school. Best move I ever did.

Our neighbors came from Belgium to the States for 1 school year. Their son was in 2nd grade here. When they moved back, he needed tutoring to catch up to his friends in Belgium after only 1 year in the States.

Ever notice how parents always say there kids school is ok, but the other schools are bad. NOPE, just about every public school system is screwed up from the top down.

If we have to go by www.dictionary.com, then in general being liberal means speaking your own thoughts or being open minded.

When they preach global warming, which is happening, they have the right to express their thoughts and views.  As well with the open mindedness, also expressing the world around us.  Which includes climate change and global warming.

Ironically, you are being a liberal person full of **** by stating what's on your mind.

I first read about what was happening to the schools back in the 50s when I was still in high schools. The two books I read were by Upton Sinclair and were called The Goose Step and The Goslings. He spent almost a year searching for the cause and was only able to partially document the cause as having been started at New York’s Columbia University. Recently I found another book available on line to read for free that fills in the gaps left by Sinclair and shows the whole spectrum of how the United States has been subjugated to a foreign system that is retarding the kids in our schools to less than third world levels.

This is why so many apparently intelligent people can fall for the global warming scam. Their lack of a decent normal education has retarded their ability to reason and left them subject to a false religious money making scam!
