I mean; a cave aged Irish cheddar, a Danish Blu, a New Zealand caprino feta and a U.S. Velvetta spray from a can.

The only women I've ever met that weren't cheeseaholics were lactose intolerant. Any non lactard female will love the gesture! And it sounds like you know your cheeses. (even the Velveeta shows a little humor...nice) Just really make it a well rounded platter...the textures will help to make it more sensual.A balance of hard and soft cheeses, pungent and subtle, and a variety of crackers and breads to choose from. I also love having a few pieces of fruit along side, grapes, slices of golden pear,some berries and a great glass (or two) of red wine. AGREE, nice cheese is a great gift, but please loose the spray cheese!! that is disgusting and if someone gave it to me i wouldnt consider it very romantic.. just cheap and nasty.

Put some nice brie and blue vein on there.. maybe some olives and good quality biscuits to go with it.

THAT would impress me.
