  1. Women wear makeup for other women.

If there where no other women around, they wouldn't wear it.

  2. Men wear makeup too...so no one is in control?

  3. Makeup has nothing to do with men being in control.  A man wearing makeup is definitely not an authority figure...he's more of a joke to most people.

I don't really believe that men are in control.  My husband is definitely not the boss in my house, whether I wear makup or not.

  4. I don't know, I don't wear makeup and I've never really felt any pressure to. Maybe it's different where I live, but I think most women who wear makeup do so as a personal choice because they like how it looks.

(Haha, I've actually been sincerely complimented on my "makeup" despite my not wearing any, so after that I decided it'd be pointless to wear it anyway.)

  5. I don't think whether men wear makeup or not has anything to do with them being in control.  A lot of men did wear makeup in the the 18th century, but they were just as much in control then as at any other time.

Women mostly wear makeup for their own enjoyment, my mother always wore it, even though my father disliked it.  "Why do you have to put all that claggy muck on your face" he used to grumble, but she took no notice.  She went on putting it on almost up until the day of her death.

  6. agree.  I can't believe feminists don't raise more h**l about women spending so much time on makeup.

  7. Women wear makeup to look good - not to hand over any sort of control to men.

  8. makeup I doubt was invented by men as a system of control.

Like many things women like to complain about it is there own doing.

If you ever noticed in high school females can be fiercely competitive. And given the nature of dating any advantage helps.

Similar to breast implants and what not.. Women just don't like competition, or rather be on the loosing end of it.

P.S if men are really in control why do all the rules and laws benefit women more than men?

  9. Don't wear makeup-so I'm not worried. No one's controlling me or any of the women I know.

  10. As long as women have makeup between their legs then women will still be in control.

  11. No, a load of rubbish. Makeup has nothing to do with control, women don't wear it for men but themselves. I feel more myself and more confident when I wear makeup.

  12. I think that it has got a lot more to do with much more serious factors, but make up IS symptomatic of some of those factors - mainly that one of the biggest roles for a woman is her decorative function, something that any feminist worth her salt has to challenge in some way (though never wearing make up is not a pre-requisite).

Convincing men to wear make up will make no difference whatsoever.

  13. Disagree, women are in control now.

  14. my man doesnt wear make up. he does look after himself though gels his hair, does his eyebrows, is clean shaven, cleanses and moisturises. he just likes to look nice an i am definitely appreciating it.

  15. Disagree

  16. lol yeah I think me should be the ones wearing makeup sometimes. Blech.

Well, men have had pretty much the controlling advantage over women for....lots of years. I think it's the fact that a lot of women are nearly brainwashed into behaving in such a way that they need that makeup to live or something. It's not really about who is wearing makeup that would matter. If women start punching out people and handling nukes instead of worrying about their hair, maybe they'd get more of a shot. lol

  17. Well, I don't wear makeup so I'm out of the grouping.

Some guys do wear makeup though, goth guys, rocker guys, some average guys wear makeup just to cover a zit.
