You don't have to keep putting the words "agriculture" and "crops" together.  Agriculture means the raising of crops.

(6) Not too sure what you mean here. Food is a renewable. The land maybe used up. So maybe ensuring the availability of land for agriculture. Also by making it more worthwhile to farm. Government subsidies and other incentives for farmers.

2)  They started being developed in prehistoric times and have continued to be developed for better quality and higher yields to the present day.

3) They are used for food, feeding animals, making clothes, and  making ethanol for fuel for your car, as well as many other things to numerous to name.

4) Some are harvested mechanically by combine harvester, cotton picker, potato diggers, etc, or some vegetables are harvested by hand labor.

5) Some are eaten directly, some must be processed for the cooking oil that you use, cotton is spun into thread and woven into cloth to be made into your clothes. Corn is fermented to make the fuel for your car. There are many process to crops before they are ready for use.

6) This one is not too easy to answer. Not enough is being done to save our crop land.  It is being used up in new houses, roads, airports, etc. The cities are spreading out further and further every day, eating up the crop land. At the same time more and more people are needing to be fed.  So far our farmers have been able to increase production on less land through improved agriculture practices and better varieties of crops.
