Hunger comes to Rich and Poor. Without Agriculture you can not get Food/Biscuits/Wheat Flour/No bread/No Fruits/No Vegitables.

All human beings are based on Agriculture only.

Asad, Just as a matter of curiosity, what are the other sources of feeding people other than by agriculture do you have in mind? We are hundreds of years past hunting and gathering being able to feed everyone. If there is some sort of manufactured synthetic food that could satisfy all of our nutrition and hunger needs, I am not aware of it. If you ask which is better then you have to also ask than what. Is agriculture the best or better at fulfilling hunger, then, better than what?

Agriculture is not only the best source for feedingpeople but the only which can ensure supplies for the purpose. Natural jungles as food source are unreliable since their development depends on many factors such as rain, draught etc. Hunting even if older than agriculture was a problematic source like the jungles. The returns in this profession werenot commensurate withthe efforts required what with irregular number of herds and difficulty in capturing them. Sowing seeds after studying their outcome, tending crops and defending them against winds,drafts etc, watering the crops all these are elements of a profession as they involve evalauation. Agriculture was,therefore the First Profession.

Yes it is one of the oldest profession, next to hunting. Hunting is remains as sport now days, agriculture is a profession.

This is a noble profession, as whole nation; whether developed or developing or underdeveloped; runs on agriculture. People need to eat at list three times a day. So... this is the best profession although it pays less in terms of money.

If you consider satisfaction of growing (generating) something, this is the profession. Most satisfying thing is to see plants you saw are grown and fruiting!
