  1. Agronomy would be the science of trying to improve the soil.

Agriculture is a very wide ranging term.  Usually one things of crops when someone uses the word agriculture, but it can also encompase such things as fish farms, beef cattle, chicken farms, flowers, Christmas trees, ect.  Basically everything that has to do with farming.

  2. Mr. Cook ex Ag. Teacher.

Agriculture is a industry. It includes Agronomy, Horticulture, etc. There are many different  areas to Agriculture. You can be in Agriculture Mechanics and be a part of Ag. it is just a part.  Agronomy deals with the study of crops and the soils in which they grow. Again this is the most basic way that I can separate one from the other. I do hope this helps.

  3. Agronomy deals only with crops and plants.  Agriculture includes animal production as well as crops, and also includes such enterprises as bee keeping, fur farming, etc.

  4. Agronomy is one area of agriculture, dealing with plant and soil science

Agriculture has many branches like entoemology, Soil science, plant pathology, Horticulture (fruits &vegetab;es)

Agronomy basically study of field crops like Paddy, corn etc.

  5. Agronomy is crop and soil science.  Agriculture is crop science, soil science, animal husbandry, horticulture, floraculture, silviculture, aquaculture, sericulture, etc. (the whole ball of wax).

  6. Well lets see.... to me it is,

    Agriculture is all AGRICULTURE

& Agronomy is just a PART of agriculture... which is the application of the various soil and plant sciences to soil management and crop production.

Agriculture  includes ALL agriculture including soils, seeds, and animals.

    I hope this helps!
