City are currently looking to close in the gap on league leaders Manchester United, who are currently sitting a massive five points ahead of City. With just fifteen games left to go in the season, City are well aware of the fact that they can’t slip up again,
or things could go from bad to worse for them.
Last season City went on to win their last six games in a row, and this late flurry of wins helped the team go on and seal the Premier League title. Aguero went on to score the goal that helped City win the title, and the player is hoping to repeat similar
performances this time around as well.
Aguero admitted that the team is not in the position that they would have liked to be in at this point in the season. However, he also feels that the team has finally started to pick up the pace and are bound to perform to the best of their abilities in
the near future.
"We won the title off them last season and now we're in the fight again," said the Argentine goal scoring machine in a recent interview.
"We can regain the leadership of the Premier League from them. City have everything to continue to grow and the best is yet to come.”
"I feel the ambition of my team-mates in the dressing room, in training and in the matches.”
"I hope that the title we won last season was just the first step."
With the team having played twenty three games so far, they need to hope for United to have a few more slip ups on the way, before the two teams from Manchester meat on the 6th of April.
Should the teams go into that game level on points, then the league could potentially be decided based on whoever ends up coming out on top at the end of that match.
