Manchester City striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841, despite not having played for City over the last two weeks.
Sergio Aguero’s Premier League season got off to a very painful start as the striker went on to pick up an injury just seven minutes into the first game that he played.
He went on to collide with a defender, but managed to pick up a knock which ruled him out of action for nearly five weeks.
The striker did manage to fly back to Argentina to get looked at by the national team’s doctors, who didn’t rule him out of the upcoming international fixtures.
As a result, there is a slight chance that the striker might actually go on and play for Argentina, without being given permission o do so by Mancini.
"I'm here until the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Peru-c2981 game," he told reporters. "Today, the knee still hurts and it bothers me, but things might change in two or three days. I will see the doctors of the Argentinian FA."
Mancini couldn’t do anything to prevent Aguero from flying back to get looked at by the national squad’s doctors, since a FIFA rule states that players can do so.
However, the manager is quite furious with the rule and feels that this rule, along with a number of other rules created by FIFA is quite ridiculous to say the least.
The Manchester City manager, when talking about the ruling earlier this year is reported to have said: "It is ridiculous. These are the rules and we need to respect these rules, but they are ridiculous rules.”
"It's impossible because Sergio needs a minimum of two weeks without training and then maybe he can start again. He can't go [to Argentina]."
Should Aguero go on and play for Argentina, what can be said assuredly is that his career at City won’t be a walk in the park.
He is bound to collide with the manager, which could lead to a number of serious consequences.
Nonetheless, it is now a wait to see just what the striker does.
