Manchester City striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero is set to make his return to the Premier League, in the team’s match against Stoke City on the 15th of September.
In the opening game of the season, the striker went down clutching his knee on the thirteenth minute mark, following a collision with a Southampton player.
It was initially believed that he might be able to get up and continue playing, but once the stretcher was brought onto the pitch, it was revealed that he would play no part in the game.
City did manage to win the match by three goals to two in the end, but the striker’s absence was felt throughout the game.
Based on recent reports and scans, it has now been revealed that his injury won’t keep him out for an extended period of time and that a one month break, will prove to be enough for the player.
Most of the City fans will be hoping for him to somehow recover even sooner than that, but it is a wait to see if that is possible.
The Argentine goal scoring machine made his move to the Etihad Stadium in 2011, when he went on to join the team in the summer transfer window.
Following his move to the club, he slowly climbed up the ranks and went on to score a very impressive twenty three goals in thirty four games, in only his first season for the club.
However, he went on to pen down his name in the club’s record books, as he scored the goal which helped City claim the league title.
The striker scored in the very last seconds of the season and his goal helped City go level on points with Manchester United, but saw them claim the trophy on the basis of a better goal difference.
His absence will be felt by the team, but during the time that he spends on the recovery table, the club is bound to perform decently.
City has more than enough strikers to fill in for Aguero and should they manage to play at their best, then the team is bound to perform decently.
