Ahh, help needed for PRESENTATION

so i really need some help/advice. i'm kind of stuck.

i'm going to be a part of senior girls at my school giving a presentation to younger students about entering high school. i've been chosen to work on the topic "going beyond" and produce a 3-4 minute skit, play, dialouge, etc on it to showcase. they chose me because i am very involved with work in the school and the community, but i'm a bit nervous because i'm clueless how i should present this to them.

does anyone have good ideas going along with that theme? that would be greatly appreciated.

  1. What if you did a short skit?  You could start by sitting at a desk in class (with a teacher and other students).  The teacher could ask the class a question--"What does giving back/going beyond mean to you? or How do you make the most of your high school experience?"

Everyone raises their hands, then have everyone freeze and you could get up and walk to another part of the "stage" and demonstrate a short bit of several different opportunities of "going beyond".

Some examples: tutoring a young child, doing yardwork/running errands for a senior citizen, building a house for Habitat for Humanity, running for student government--the point would be to demonstrate many different types of activities--maybe use props and friends to help.

Then after, you could go back to your seat in the classroom, just in time to answer the teacher's question and have her give you an A+.

  2. You act like you are the teacher of a classroom.  You ask one student what she is willing to do to help a homeless person that the school has offered to help.  She says, "I'll give him one dollar. I'll get a dollar from my dad".   Then another student says "Maybe i can get him some blankets and a place to sleep tonight".   The 2nd student "went beyond" the minimum.

You can then act like the kids are now playing outside after school.  Put them in situation where they can help someone in a wheelchair.  Have one kid "go beyond". /
