I have long hair (lower-back length) and it is really frizzy and has lots of breakage. I know a haircut would probably do me good, but I don't want to cut it short. I don't mind a trim if it's necessary, though.

After my showers, I always let my hair air-dry and it gets sooo frizzy! Some of it might be breakage, but there is A LOT! Is there any way to help prevent or control frizz/breakage?

Also, if I straighten my hair, it seems to help control frizz, and help smooth down the breakage, but I don't want to have to do it everyday and fry my hair! How bad is it to straighten hair everyday?

Any ways to prevent/smooth down frizz or breakage? How bad is straightening your hair everyday? Any products you recommend?

Thanks soo much! :)

  1. try john frieda collection frizz-ease straight answer straightening spray. it is amazings, it smells great, it's only $7 and you can buy it at every drugstore. you just spray it on damp hair and then blow dry with a brush. i use it all the time and i love it.

    more information about it :

  2. I like using TRESemme' protective heat spray. It protects and helps a little with the frizz. I also like using a serum of some sort try "Biosilk" silk therapy!

  3. I would not get it trimmed but get it cut, cut at least 3 inches off  it will grow back. Far as straighten it everyday is fine as long as you are applying some type of serum on every piece flat ironed CHI Silk infusion is very good brand. I would also try a smoothing shampoo and cond at least twice a week. When blowing drying use a paddle brush or round brush that should also help with the frizz.

  4. dont straighten your hair everyday trust me. i had frizzy hair like you and i tried straightening it everyday but it just kept damaging it making it even mroe frizzy!! try using a shampoo and conditioner that smoothes out your hair and prevents is from frizzing..like pantene anti frizz shampoo and conditioner. once i get out of the shower i put on sleek and shine anti humidity smoothing milk..this will help keep your hair frizz free even in humidity.

    hope this helps :]]

  5. ok whenever you let your hair air dry just  twist it or braid it. twisting it will give it a really soft wave and braidng or platting it will give it a pretty deep wave. you can use a really good conditioner to help with the breakage.

  6. The first person said to use the John Frieda Collection. DONT!! Its expensive for no reason. It sounds like you need a hair makeover. First, but the right shampoo and coniditioner. Buy Loreal Pro Vive Smooth Intense shampoo and conditioner (its in a light orange bottle) OR buy Head and Shoulder (Sleek and Shine) Shampoo and Conditioner. Cut your hair as short as you want. This will help. Also, products from the Garnier Fruitis collection help.

  7. its very bad ironing it every day visit a local salon tell them you need the ends of your cut and then let them shampoo and dry and style it it shoudl work and try nto gettign out the shower letting it air dry you need to put sum kinda oil on it when you want it to air dry and sumtime when you dry it with a blow dryer put sum kinda hairspary or oil on it.

  8. i straighten my hair almost everyday and its healthy. i would recommend buying a CHI, their awesomeeee!

and for the frizz try getting some leave in conditioner that might help :]

  9. i use a shampoo and conditioner from Fuctis for frizzy, dry, and unmangageble hair. it seems to help.... and when i blow dry my hair it doesn't get as frizzy. but blow drying your hair might take a while cause its long. i would also go get your hair trimmed and ask the salon if they have any products that would help your hair. and i dont think its bad to strighten your hair everyday.... my sister does it.
